Quite a lot was happening in the background during this period: the conflict in Ukraine, rapidly rising NG and feedstock costs, a new leader for the organization (me) as well as new members in the leadership team.
Coming into my new role one month after Martine had started, one would never have said that she had only been there for a month. Martine was on top of the operational challenges as well as proving to be a great Human Resource leader/challenger for the leadership team and myself... and this all in her typical calm and friendly way. I would think that being self driven is one of her most important qualities. I hardly ever had to point out something that needed doing and if I did, Martine was already on it (and I could rely on her doing an excellent job). Having made clear at the beginning that her assignment would end after 5 months as she had other commitments, we can only respect her decision. At the same time, I am sure that together with myself, the entire organization will miss her. Martine, thanks for being our HR business partner and all the best in your future endeavours.
