Martine started her professional career back in 1988 with Procter & Gamble in Strombeek-Bever (Belgium) as management assistant. During this period, she had the privilege to being the executive assistant to the President, Europe, Middle East and Africa for many years, laying the foundation to become a trusted advisor.
After her second pregnancy in 1999, she decided to make a career switch and transferred to the P&G Manufacturing site in Belgium, Mechelen for her first role in HR. Being responsible for recruiting, communication and external relations for the plant, she made a step change in P≈G’s relationship with the neighbours and external community. Between 2000 and 2008, she held various HR roles in the Mechelen site, including Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Internal & External Communication.
In 2008, she moved back to the headquarters of P&G in Strombeek-Bever, and became the HR Business Partner for 2 acquired businesses (Professional Haircare Products, and Fine Fragrances). In this assignment, she played a key role to ensure the smooth integration of the 2 business units within the P&G ways of working.
In 2011, when P&G decided to divest its Pringles brand, Martine moved back to the manufacturing site in Mechelen to support the transition of the organization into Kellogg’s. On June 1, 2012, she officially transferred to Kellogg’s as the Senior Site HR Manager for the Mechelen Plant.
In 2015, she started her first international assignment in Kellogg’s, and became the HR Director for Supply Chain Snacks in Europe. In 2017, she was promoted to the role of European HR Director for total Supply Chain in Europe. In this role, she was part of the European Supply Chain leadteam setting the vision and direction for Europe. She held this role until end of 2019, when she decided to make a new career switch and become an independent HR consultant, executive coach and interim manager.
